Questions & Answers…

Been dancing since: Since I was teeny tiny – think I started when I was 3!

Dance Experience: Trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, highland and contemporary. Attended The Dance School of Scotland for 6 years and during this time I gained my ISTD Advanced 1 Tap and Modern and my RAD Advanced 2 ballet, as well as performing a number of roles in their annual performances at the King’s Theatre. I have also performed in Nutcracker with Miami City Ballet and Nutcracker and La Sylphide with Scottish Ballet. I gained scholarships for places at London Studio Centre, Doreen Bird and Rambert when I was 17.

Favourite style of dance: I'll have to be 'twee' and say ballet. I love it, although I love watching hip-hop and street jazz.

What advice would you give to aspiring dancers? Believe in yourself, keep on trying – don't let setbacks put you off and grasp every opportunity you're given!

Best advice ever given to me: Work hard! The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.

What I do to keep fit: Dance, dance, dance! And when I'm not dancing I work-out in the gym at least 3 times a week and try and go swimming when I can.

Three words that describe me are: Ambitious, bubbly and loving!

I’m happiest when: I'm dancing or when I'm giggling!

My claim to fame is: I danced for Princess Anne and Princess Margaret whilst I was at school. Also introduced Christopher Cazenove (from Dynasty) to Irn Bru!!

My most unusual job: Being a cheerleading accountant!!

If I had a different job I'd be: A doctor, I always fancied that for some reason!

My hobbies are: Dancing of course, swimming or just generally bobbing about in water which I find so relaxing, playing the piano, eating out and going for nights out!

Pets: I don't have any pets because I'm allergic to everything!! But I love bunnies, they're so cute!

Most people don’t know this about me: I talk and walk in my sleep!

My happiest moment was: When I found out I got a first class honours degree from university! I found out through a sneaky phone-call in the toilets at work and had to go back to work as though nothing had happened! Felt like I was going to explode!

My most embarrassing moment was: When I was at a job interview in Nottingham. I went to a café beforehand and when I asked to use their toilet, I was told it was "round the back." So I went round, found a door, opened it, saw a toilet to the left and used it, only to find a man and women standing there when I came out, staring at me as though I was a loon! I'd walked right past the portaloo meant for customers and into someone's flat and used their loo!! I was so embarrassed!

I’ve never been able to: Draw! I am NOT an artist and I never will be despite my best efforts!

Things that really annoy me: Bad timekeeping, sniffing and being interrupted or talked over.

Favourite food: Indian food!! I love it – if you're ever in the South side, go to the Pearl of India, it is divine!! I also love chocolate, it makes everything better!

Favourite joke: My friend and I went to the zoo last week and spent all day wandering about but we could only find one dog in the whole zoo! It was a Chitzu.

Favourite movie: Oooh tough call, between Moulin Rouge and Chicago.

Favourite song: I love the song 'Creeping up the Backstairs' by the Fratellis or on a different note: 'To Make You Feel my Love' by Bryan Ferry.

Favourite TV show: Britain or America's Next Top Model. I love the drama! Also a massive fan of CSI, Vegas or Miami, not too keen on the New York one!

Favourite location in Scotland: Glasgow, I love the city, although I love going on drives to lovely rural villages in Scotland.

Favourite quote: "No man is worth your tears and the one that is won't make you cry."

Favourite colour: I always change my favourite colour but at the moment it's red.

Favourite flower: I love yellow roses – they're so pretty!

Favourite perfume: Eau de Moschino.

Favourite colour of nail polish: Deep brown.

Favourite sport: Dancing, although I love watching gymnastics and ice skating.

Favourite chocolate bar: Dairy Milk. Yummy!!

Favourite cartoon character: Tinkerbell, she's got a killer attitude.

Favourite cake: I love carrot cake, I can even make my own!

Favourite pizza topping: Ham and pineapple! I can't understand these people who say you don't put fruit on a pizza!

Favourite Super Hero: Spiderpig!!

If you could have a super-power for a day what would it be and how would you spend your day? I would be able to fly and I'd spend the whole day soaring above the clouds without a care in the world!!

If you looked in the boot of my car you would find? A spare tyre, a petrol can, a brolly and jump leads – ever the optimist!!

What ringtone do you have on your mobile phone at the moment? I don't know – not too mobile literate I'm afraid!

What's your 'handbag essentials'? Purse, mobile, house keys, tissues (am always sneezing!), lip gloss, eyelash curlers and my diary (the only way I can keep life organised!).

How many pairs of shoes do you own? Far, far too many! I keep breaking the heels on them because I sway back on my feet when I'm standing still but I still can't bear to part with them!

Heels or trainers? Definitely heels.

Favourite outfit? I recently bought a gorgeous black ball-gown for my work ball in September. It is so pretty and I feel really elegant and classy in it!

Fashion/beauty accessory you can’t live without: My GHDs. I couldn't survive without them!

Hottest new fashion tip: Accessorize!! Accessories of any sort can change the entire look of an outfit!

Biggest hair trauma: I made the mistake of going dark once and it was terrible! Made my face look really grey – never again!

Worst male fashion mistake: Speedos – NO! NO! NO!

Worst chat up line: "I bet your last name must be Jacobs because you’re a real cracker!" Cringe!

If your life was made into a movie what would it be called and who would play you? Probably the accounting equivalent of Legally Blonde! No-one can believe I've got a degree, given how ditzy I am at times! Oh, and I'd play myself – no-one else could do it quite as well!

If you had to appear in a musical on Broadway which one would it be? I'd love to play White Cat in Cats or Roxy in Chicago.

The person/people I most admire are: My mum for being a wonder woman and managing to do everything!

What is the best gift you have ever received? Either my GHDs which my boyfriend got me for Christmas or the watch my mum got me for my graduation – it's gorgeous!

Name two people you would like to have dinner with: Johnny Depp and Callum Best…

My proudest accomplishment to date is: Being awarded the Randak Trophy for most outstanding student in my last year at The Dance School of Scotland. It made me cry!

What is the best thing about being a Rockettes Dancer? Being given the opportunity to perform and dance alongside a team of girls who share the same passion for dancing as I do! And the routines are brilliant!

What would you like to be doing in five years? Be a millionaire who's taken early retirement and spends her days sunbathing in some exotic location… well we can all dream can't we?
