Questions & Answers…

Been dancing since: I was 3 years old.

Dance Experience: BATD trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern & hip-hop.

Favourite style of dance: Street Jazz & ballet.

What advice would you give to aspiring dancers? Always give 110% even when your legs feel as if they are about to fall off. Listen! You can never stop learning and improving.

Best advice ever given to me: Pain is beauty!

What I do to keep fit: Three times a week with the Rockettes keeps us all on our toes but in my spare time I also enjoy kickboxing and gymnastics.

Three words that describe me are: Intelligent/dippy, hyper and humorous!

I'm happiest when: I'm dancing in front of a large crowd… particularly football games at Hampden, the buzz is amazing!

My claim to fame is: My duet with Elton John and last year's Royal Variety show!

My most unusual job: I've worked in Barlinnie and Shotts prisons, most people find that strange for a cheerleader.

If I had a different job I'd be: Dancing in a West End musical.

My hobbies are: Dancing, kickboxing and gymnastics.

Pets: A boxer dog called Bruno.

Most people don't know this about me: I have a first-degree black-belt in Tae Kwon Do.

My happiest moment was: When my niece, Emma was born. Passing my driving test and my degree… and getting picked to go to Dubai… actually I have lots of happy moments!

My most embarrassing moment was: I have embarrassing moments every day! I definitely lack some common sense!

I've never been able to: Breathe underwater or turn left… for any Zoolander fans out there haha!

Things that really annoy me: Being rushed, messy people, liars and my brother!

Favourite food: Franklyn's mac'n'cheese… yummy. Or my wee pal Tracy's toasties.

Favourite joke: Pat and Mic walking along a country path. Mic says to Pat, "that's such a lovely forest over there." Pat replies, "sorry Mic I can't see for the trees." hahaha!

Favourite movie: Dirty Dancing: "Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

Favourite song: I don't actually know, I have lots of favourite songs… P Diddy's 'I'll be Missing You' is a belter!

Favourite TV show: Friends is my all time favourite but must admit I am a bit of a sucker for the old X-Factor and Big Brother.

Favourite location in Scotland: Glasgow!

Favourite quote: "I'm going to put something out there, if you like it take it, if you don't send it right back!" (Anchorman)

Favourite colour: Changes all the time… right now I'm going through a purple phase… it's supposed to be big this winter.

Favourite flower: Lilies

Favourite Perfume: Chanel Chance

Favourite colour of nail polish: Red

Favourite sport: Dancing, and I suppose I should say football zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Favourite chocolate bar: I'm not a big chocolate fan but I do like a Galaxy Ripple with a cup of tea when it's cold.

Favourite cartoon character: Jessica Rabbit! The resemblance is startling don't you think?

Favourite cake: Strawberry cheesecake… yummy!

Favourite pizza topping: Country feast at Pizza Hut… yummy!

Favourite Super Hero: Batman… tall, dark and buff!

If you could have a super-power for a day what would it be and how would you spend your day? Read people's minds! To see if everyone's thoughts are as crazy as mine!

If you looked in the boot of my car you would find? I tend to drive my boyfriend's car just now as it is much safer and prettier than my own! Ha! Just had a look and there's a shovel and masking tape… should I be worried???

What ringtone do you have on your mobile phone at the moment? Beautiful Girl by Sean Kingston… reminds me of Dubai… awww!

What's your 'handbag essentials'? Bronzer, eyeliner, and gloss! I tend to lose the contents of my bag so I try and not take out my whole make-up bag!

How many pairs of shoes do you own? About 50 – nowhere near enough!

Heels or trainers? Definitely heels, I try and avoid flats as I look like an oompa loompa!

Favourite outfit: My Rockettes uniform.

Fashion/beauty accessory you can't live without: Mascara… I look bald without it!

Hottest new fashion tip: White socks and black shoes! Honestly… I hear it's going to be huge!

Biggest hair trauma: When I was 13 I cut my own fringe. By the time I got it straight I looked like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber.

Worst male fashion mistake: Two earrings, fake tan, skinny jeans, low rise v-neck jumpers, Kappa tracksuits, Wrangler jeans, Cat boots… basically everything my boyfriend wears! Ha! Sort it out Steven!

Worst chat-up line: Kettle's on if you fancy a coffee? Ring a bell Carole Anne?? Ha!

If your life was made into a movie what would it be called and who would play you? Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality, I'm a tomboy at heart! Hopefully I'll look as good fighting the bad guys. "Harsher punishment for parole violators Stan… and WORLD PEACE!"

If you had to appear in a musical on Broadway which one would it be? Chicago… so I could wear all the foxy outfits!

The person/people I most admire are: My mummy because she's just smashing so she is!

What is the best gift you have ever received? A weekend of pampering at the Sheraton Spa or a trip to Italy… but that was almost three months ago now so what's next please? Wonder why I'm called Shallow Al…

Name two people you would like to have dinner with: Ron Burgundy and Brian Fantana!

My proudest accomplishment to date is: Passing my degree, my driving test and becoming a Rockette!

What is the best thing about being a Rockettes Dancer? You could be dancing to 60,000 football fans at Hampden or at the rugby in Murrayfield… on a beach in Dubai or Italy… or at Glasgow Airport departure lounge (seriously). Also being taught to such a high standard and dancing alongside extremely talented and like-minded dancers.

What would you like to be doing in five years? Hopefully I will no longer be a poor student with a banger for a car, I should be a fully qualified psychologist and still dancing with the Rockettes of course!
