Hi girls,
Just a quick query. I was a gymnast for 25 years. Scottish Champion 8 times and silver British medalist being my highest achievement. I retired when I was 23 and danced for an old firm professional dance squad for two years.
That squad has since stopped. Was wondering if the gymnastics and dance experience would suit tryouts for the squad?

I noticed that the age limit is 35 for tryouts but I know past (and current) team members have been around that age and older? does that mean they will be retiring or giving up… as they look younger than that in their photos, I think all the ladies in the squad look young and great! xx

HI Bazza
Glad to hear your girlfriend is interested in auditioning for the Rockettes. My advice to her would be to take as many dance classes as she can between now and then. I would recommend she regularly takes a technical jazz class as she will be tested on this at auditions. And to make sure her fitness it at a good level as our fitness tests can be gruelling… our fitness sponsor DW Fitness at the Fort would be happy to help her prepare.
Tell her to keep an eye on our website for information about tryouts.

Just to see if Pauline remembers meeting a bunch of guys wearing Top Gun suits in Edinburgh on Sat night. I was the guy with the moustache (it's a Top Gun thing) we're all from Glasgow and had a great time, good to see the Rockettes out there mixing it up with us boys who can't dance!
