On the 12th of March the Scottish Rockettes were proud to be invited back to the NACC Charity Dinner at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow. Another fantastic night was had by all who attended and it proved a huge success with guests helping to raise an exceptional amount of money for a extremely worthwhile cause.
Now in its 7th year and the most important event in Glasgow's Social Diary, boasting the cream of Glasgow's business community as guests and patrons!
Organiser, Derek McEwan, has raised in excess of £100,000 in memory of his mother, Catherine, who sadly lost her battle against Crohn's aged 38 when Derek and his brother were 16 & 21 years old. Derek, a successful businessman in Glasgow, has from the onset of his business, AIMS, wanted to include an affiliated charity and for him no other than Crohn's and Colitis UK will do. Derek wants to support people affected by Colitis & Crohn's and help Crohn's and Colitis UK fund projects in Scotland.
The aim is to help sufferers of Colitis and Crohns in the Glasgow area and to support NACC (National Association for Colitis and Crohns Disease). The Foundation have been helping children who suffer from Colitis and Crohns and who attend Yorkhill hospital for the past two years. For more info go to www.nacc.org.uk.
