The aim of this road show was to highlight the dangers of drink, drugs and crime while also providing information on college courses and future job prospects… as well as offering lots of fun activities and games for everyone to participate.
The Rockettes teamed up Strathclyde Police to give away free rucksacks stacked with goodies and Choices for Life info sheets while Scottish Rocks player Rob Yanders offered basketball coaching followed by a 5-on-5 basketball tournament in which the Rockettes formed one team and kids in the other.
In addition the main stage was host to new bands, singers and the Rockettes, providing excellent entertainment throughout the day.
This event was both fun and enlightening for the youngsters who are at the stage in life where they have to make important life decisions. With such an impressive line up of musicians, sportsmen and of course the Rockettes this was entertaining and informative.
Katrina McMahon said "It's been a great day, the kids have been brilliant. I really enjoyed the basketball tournament and was a little too excited about beating the young kids… Well that was until the older boys took part!"
