HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2004 eh, and already over halfway through this season. So that'll make me a grand old age of… let me think… 21 this year… "oh yes it will", "OH NO IT WON'T"… Pantomime season's over now, calm down!
Hope you all had a good time, I know I did, and judging by the state of the girls at the last game, (Rocks v Newcastle Eagles) they had a good one too! Nah, they weren't that bad, not as bad as they were on our Crimbo night out… (don't worry, I won't go into too much detail!).
We went for some lovely food to Metropolitan and then onto The Cube. In fact, there are some really good pictures. It'd be funny if Iain put some of them on the site, show you all what the gang REALLY get up to when they aren't armed with a set of pom poms! Like Carrie & Mags who thought it'd be really funny to smear chocolate cake all over their top set of teeth so they look gumsy LOL, I mean who would be childish enough to go ahead and do that in the first place… answers on a postcard please!
And then Carole Anne on the way home, when she mooned out the taxi window, hahaha. I am kidding by the way… it was actually Katrina F!! (she's still kidding… it wasn't any of the GIRLS!)
The last I spoke to you we were preparing for the last game we done at Ibrox, it was amazing. Our first and only rehersal on the pitch was on the Monday before the game, and it was ABSOLUTELY freezing cold. That was with long trousers, 2 jackets and a big scarf, I thought "what are we going to be like on the night in hot pants and a crop top!" But luck was with us, and it wasn't so bad after all. It's always a great buzz doing the Rangers games, so here's hoping they have us back AGAIN!!!!!!!!
So, what else has been happening… eh, let me think…
We done the Cash for Kids Christmas Ball; raised some cash, done some mingling, met Ronan Keating… RONAN KEATING… DID YOU HEAR ME?, well actually I never met him, but the rest of the girls did, although I did have a really good view of him, in fact I could smell his aftershave I was so close. Still, I got his autograph, I left a photograph for him to sign, Mags said she struggled to get it back from him, he wanted to keep it apparently… took a copy of it she said, I think she's just humouring me though somehow!
OOH, we done our calendar ARGHH!! If you have one you'll know why I'm screaming. I think they're great! That was one long day, and it was absolutely freezing, but it was all worth it once we saw the calendar in black in white, well not black and white but colour obviously… och you know what I mean!!
I felt quite emotional actually because all the girls look amazing, 'scrubbed up no bad' as they say! In fact I must've looked as though I'd had serious surgery or something. I was chatting to a couple of young guys who where buying the calendar and they asked why I wasn't in it, I said "Yeah, I am, I'm April" so they flicked through to April, kinda went "PHWOAR" but then, done a double take at the photo, then gave me a strange look up and down!!! It's me honest, no airbrushing, none at all, none whatsoever, nil, nada…
They went like hot cakes, which was good, and it's all for a good cause too, so if you don't have one yet dig deep, they're a steal at 6 quid, in fact if you want to have a word with me, I can get you it for £5.99, mum's the word but…!
'Til next time, Liz x
