The famous Ewan and Roughy's football phone-in show on Real Radio and Setanta

It was the night of the Scotland vs. Croatia Euro 2008 Qualifier at Hampden and the Scottish Rocks vs. M.K. Lions game at Braehead being shown live on Setanta. Both were major events for Scotland's national football team and the Rocks. The Rockettes were split in both directions appearing and performing at both matches and on top of that two of us had to get into Real Radio before it all kicked off. Ewan and Roughy's football phone-in show, which also went out live on Setanta was our destination.
Claire and myself were given the task of going in to see the guys. Both of us were feeling quite excited but nervous wondering what the boys would say. We arrived at Real and got into uniform. Little boys in a sweet shop was what awaited us ha ha .. kidding guys.
As Roughy was flattening his barnet to disguise the helipad he volunteered me to sit on his knee. Aye righto Santa!! Really, Roughy wanted me on his knee because I was the lightest and he was thinking of his bad leg. So Claire hopped on Ewan's knee and we enjoyed some banter with the callers.
Everything was all cosy and going great until we were asked a question regarding football. Erm… Nice tanned legs??? Ewan asked me "Did I think any team in the SPL deserved special treatment?" No way I piped up, that'd be like saying if you play for Dundee or Aberdeen you're worthless. Claire was asked did she think Rangers and Celtic has priority over all the other teams and she agreed with Ewan.. well kinda, she said "Are they not the best?"..
HAHA..! I don't think we added anything to the football but we certainly plugged the Rockettes and gave the listeners some laughs. It was a quick visit as we had to dash off to Braehead for the basketball game. Massive thanks to the guys at Real for having us in. Next time get the choccie biscuits in for the girls.!!
