Kat M - November 2003Dear Diary…

The past few months have been very hectic but extremely enjoyable for us all. I think it's safe to say that everyone has had a great time so far and that we are really looking forward to the next coming months.

Having done various promotional events over the past few months, our next task that awaited us maybe didn't come with such ease…! After much discussion we decided that we were going to produce a 'Swimsuit Calendar' and sell them at the Rocks' home games and on our web site, with all proceeds going to children's charities. (Clyde 1's Cash for Kids, Daily Record's C.H.A.S.)

Having "hyped" ourselves up for this embarrassing challenge, we all headed to Next Generation Health Club in Anniesland where the photo shoot was to take place. Everyone was so hyper and very nervous. My main concern on the evening was how many pairs of socks I could stuff down my top to enhance my non-existent cleavage or that my St. Tropez fake tan would end up all streaky… That was of course until I was told that the Daily Record and The Sun newspapers had arrived. ARGHH!! How funny it was though, as everyone ran to the mirrors with Carole Anne crushing everyone's toes with her stiletto heels on. Mags and Paula fighting over the 'cleavage padding', Charlene changed her bikini about four times, I laughed nervously and Elle, Dear Elle was ready and was a real cool cookie…!

Kat M - May 2003 The photo shoot actually went really well and both tabloids printed our story the following day and the day after. We'd like to thank both reporters for their help and the time they took with us. Also Iain for all his hard work on the calendar, which is now available to buy at £4 each… plug… plug… oh and I'm Ms May… hint… hint… birthday… MAY…

Well after that we were ready for anything. Next up – The Cash for Kids Christmas Ball at the Glasgow Hilton. Surrounded by 'superstar celebs' we felt well important – especially when we met Sully and Mike – Monsters Inc. characters in the main Foyer. Representing 'Phoenix Mitsubishi' we helped out on the night with the 'sign a note' raffle and the main Cash for Kids auction. We even managed to get some photo snaps done with George Bowie, Suzie McGuire and… ELVIS…!! Yes he is alive…!

As well as the above events we have been busy with promotional work at Braehead Arena, promoting the Rocks and selling raffles for a 'Phoenix Mitsubishi' car. The car was kindly donated by Phoenix Mitsubishi to raise money for 'Cash for Kids'. We have also been promoting our calendar at the home games in Braehead Arena and through our web site. Thankfully they are starting to sell very well.

All the home games have been exciting to say the least, especially since the team have been winning. However, more so when Sky Television turned up to record the game for their television show 'Hoops'. Well, lets just say we all certainly moved ourselves that day.!

Even with our busy schedules we still managed to squeeze in a wee night out for Christmas and also for Margaret's birthday. 'Tiger Tiger' and 'Cube' were our ''unprepared'' venues. The night was hilarious from start to finish… I'll say no more eh girls…!

With rehearsals on going every week and more Promotional events coming up you can bet we'll be burning the candle at both ends. BUT we wouldn't have it any other way!

Luv Kat x :o)
